Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a loccum Podiatrist to join our dynamic Allied Health team.

 

The successful applicant will have;

 

  • Degree in Podiatry and Podiatry registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Medicare Provider Number and understanding of the requirements in the Medicare Benefit Scheme: Chronic Disease Management Plans
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied, complex and high caseload.
  • Highly professional and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of podiatry services in acute and/or subacute and community health setting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing and supervising Grade 1 Podiatry staff, Allied Health Assistants, and students
  • Demonstrated ability to work in as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team to provide optimum care
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Current Working with Children’s Check

Desirable;

  • Developed skills in research and established skills in the review of literature.
  • An understanding of Health Policy and Funding arrangements for health service delivery- Understanding of the business environment, the structural and financial arrangements, KPI’s and relationships between these factors and service delivery.
  • An understanding of the Health Issues facing the Colac Community.
