Registered Midwife/ Nurse Maternity Leave Replacement (22.10.2018 to 05.05.2019)
Up to 32 hours per fortnight

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Registered Midwife/ Nurse to join our dynamic Maternity Services team.
The successful applicants will have;
- * Registered Midwife/Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- * Demonstrated capacity to work across the full role and scope of practice of a midwife
- * Ability to demonstrate recent, contemporary and evidenced based midwifery practice
- * Demonstrated ability to manage maternity emergencies
- * Ability work across a rotating roster with varying demands and responsibilities
- * Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft office software
- * Basic Life Support competency (adult and neonatal)
Desirable
- * Current acute nursing experience
- * IV cannulation

Essential: Dual registration (Registered Midwife/Nurse) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Essential: Demonstrated capacity to work across the full role and scope of practice of a midwife Essential: Ability to demonstrate recent, contemporary and evidenced based midwifery practice Essential: Demonstrated ability to manage maternity emergencies Essential: Ability work across a rotating roster, including night shift, weekends, public holidays and on call, with varying demands and responsibilities Essential: Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft office software and BOS Essential: Recent successful completion of Fetal Surveillance competency Essential: Current Acute Nursing experience Desirable: Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, night shift, public holidays and on call. |
