Position Summary

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST - GRADE 1 
Part Time (Temporary) - 36 hours per fortnight until 30th June 2022.

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic Allied Health team. The Speech Pathologist team provides assessment and management in the areas of speech, language, fluency, voice and swallowing difficulties. Services are available to adults and children from birth to school entry. Car pool available from Geelong

 

What’s required? 

  • Degree, Masters or Graduate Diploma in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia. 
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to work independently, and to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Effective interpersonal skills (including written and verbal communication skills) with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to use IT systems efficiently. 
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous quality improvement.
  • Experience managing a generalist caseload (working with clients who present with a range of communication/swallowing difficulties in adults and paediatrics).
