Position Summary

REGISTERED NURSE - PERIOPERATIVE SERVICES/DAY SURGERY UNIT

Part time 32 hours/fortnight

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our busy Perioperative Services team.

 

The successful applicant will have;

  • Registered Nurse holding a current registration certificate with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 1 year post graduate experience
  • Previous recent day surgery and/or theatre experience, including post anaesthetic care nursing is desirable however full training can be provided for the successful applicant
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility in a changing environment
  • Professional, friendly with a team player disposition who is capable of representing the department and organisation effectively
  • Ability to participate in the emergency after hours on call roster

Desirable

  • Post Graduate qualifications in Perioperative and/or Day Surgery Nursing OR
  • A keen interest in and willingness to undertake further training in this area
