Community Palliative Care Nurse
Permanent Part Time - 40 hours per fortnight

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Community Palliative Care team at Colac Area Health.
At Colac Area Health our specialist Palliative Care Nursing team aim to improve the quality of life of our clients by providing support to both them and their next of kin. We respond to their needs in the form of physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual and emotional support, all of which can occur in the location most suitable for them. This may be their home or in the hospital or residential aged care setting.
What’s required?
- Registered Nurse Division 1 holding current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, with a minimum of 5 years post qualification clinical experience
- Working towards or possessing relevant post graduate qualifications in Palliative Care Nursing
- Relevant experience and expertise in managing the complex care needs of Palliative Care clients
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver best practice, evidence based palliative care
- Computer literacy
- Current Victorian drivers licence
- Previous experience using Palcare data program is a bonus
