PHYSIOTHERAPIST

New Graduate or Grade 1
Full Time – up to 40 Hours per week

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Physiotherapist  to join our busy Allied Health team.

 

The successful applicant will have;

  • Energised by working in a rural healthcare setting
  • Approved tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
  • Quality Physiotherapy skills and a willingness to learn and develop these to meet local community health care needs
  • Eligibility to join the Australian Physiotherapy Association
  • Knowledge of a wide range of health professionals and service providers.
  • Ability to effectively work both independently as well as with a team to deliver physiotherapy care in a variety of settings. 
  • A philosophy of care that promotes client independence with their health, wellbeing and lifestyle

Selection Criteria Essential: Approved tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
Essential: Registration with AHPRA-Physiotherapy registration
Essential: Eligible for membership of Australian Physiotherapy Association
Essential: Excellent communication skills with a wide range of health professionals and service providers.
Essential: Experience or exposure in facilitating group therapy programs
Essential: Experience or exposure in an acute hospital and/or aged care setting
Desirable: Australian Physiotherapy Association member
Desirable: Energised by working in rural setting
Desirable: Knowledge of a wide range of health professionals and service providers.
Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential: Competent with various window based software programs and computer skills
Essential: Ability to effectively work both independently as well as with a team to deliver physiotherapy care in a variety of settings.
Essential: An understanding of factors affecting clients with both immediate (acute), rehabilitation and gerontology needs
Essential: A philosophy of care that promotes client independence with their health, well being and lifestyle
