Position Summary

Family and Community Programs Manager 
Full time

 

Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

 

The Manager will lead and manage Family and Community Program staff and defined resources, program objectives and professional practice standards within the community based programs. Support our community safety and wellbeing with a range of services including drug and alcohol, counselling, family violence and integrated family support services that are responsive and best practice. Develop strategies to promote and support effective and efficient interfaces between Family and Community Programs across Colac Area Health and external agencies.

 

What’s required? 

 

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in the fields of Social Work, Psychology or equivalent. Current AHPRA registration with the appropriate board where relevant, or eligible for membership from the relevant professional body.
  • Experience in the leadership and management of community based services, including leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team delivering a diverse range of programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and build the capacity necessary to achieve organisational goals, drive quality improvements, and respond to change.
  • Proven ability to manage financial, physical and human resources strategically and with probity.
  • Demonstrated capacity to progress tasks, monitor performance and continuously improve work practices to achieve results within time and budget constraints.
  • Highly organised and efficient work ethic.
  • A consultative leadership style and demonstrated ability to develop individuals and teams; and to create a positive culture and learning environment.
  • Leading and promoting continuous service quality improvement activities and motivating staff to deliver services in contemporary and best practice frameworks
  • The ability to build rapport, negotiate and maintain effective relations with key stakeholders/partners.
  • Excellent computer skills, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
