McGrath Breast Care Nurse
Temporary Part time, up to 40 hours/fortnight
April 2020 - March 2021 (dates may be negotiable)
Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join our busy Cancer Services team.
The successful applicant will have;
Essential:
- Relevant experience in the management of people with breast cancer (and/or oncology nursing experience).
- Demonstrated experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality, evidence based patient centred care
- Demonstrated time management, organisation and planning skills
- Experience in the use of technology to create reports and documents
- Demonstrated commitment to total quality management and improved health care outcomes
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to developing and improving personal education skills appropriate to the position
- Computer literacy
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupation Health & Safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of health care education
- Demonstrate and Promote the Vision and Mission of CAH
- Demonstrate the Values of CAH ‘Respect. Integrity and Compassion’ in everyday practice
Desirable:
- Experience in the development and delivery of education programs to clients, carers, the community and health professionals and;
- Knowledge of research methodology and ability to undertake research

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Victorian Police Check and complete a Statutory Declaration as per the Aged Care Principles prior to commencement of employment. Some positions will also require a WWC Check.
