Governance, Quality and Safety Manager
Part Time - Up to 36 hours per week
Colac Area Health are currently seeking applications to join the Governance, Quality and Safety Team in the role of Governance, Quality and Safety Manager.
The position reports to the District Director Medical Administration and is required to support and inform Managers, Executive and the Board on accreditation, risk management, consumer engagement and feedback and results of audits and key performance indicators.
The successful applicant will have support from the Team who have a diverse range of skills and knowledge.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Victorian Police Check and complete a Statutory Declaration as per the Aged Care Principles prior to commencement of employment. Some positions will also require a WWC Check.

Selection Criteria |
Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Health Services Management/Business/Administration; or Quality and Safety in Healthcare (or substantial progress towards) or other related discipline Essential: Extensive knowledge and understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement principles, including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, Australian Aged Care Quality Standards (AACQA), Human Service Standards, Child Safe Standards and the Victorian Government Depa Essential: Proven ability to work effectively and manage change as part of a multidisciplinary team Essential: Excellent IT and database management skills Essential: Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation and planning of quality, safety and risk management systems Essential: Ability to collect, analyse and present data related to quality and safety in healthcare and facilitate actions to address identified issues Essential: Demonstrated understanding of consumer participation and person-centred care Essential: Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles and experience in managing systems and processes to mitigate, reduce and monitor risks |
