Position Summary

Podiatrist
15 hours per week permanent position

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a suitably qualified Podiatrist to join our dynamic Podiatry and Allied Health team. under the clinical supervision of a very experienced Podiatrist.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Degree in Podiatry and Podiatry registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied, complex and high caseload.
  • Highly professional and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of podiatry services in acute and/or subacute and community health setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work in as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team to provide optimum care
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Current Working with Children’s Check

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the business environment, the structural and financial arrangements, and relationships between these factors and service delivery.
  • An understanding of the Health Issues facing the Colac Community.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Victorian Police Check and complete a Statutory Declaration as per the Aged Care Principles prior to commencement of employment. Some positions will also require a WWC Check.

Desirable: Medicare Provider Number and understanding of the requirements in the Medicare Benefit Scheme: Chronic Disease Management Plans

Desirable: Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of podiatry services in acute and/or subacute and community health setting
