Project Manager - Local & Small Rural Health Services Board Reporting Project Full Time, fixed term to 30 June 2020
Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to work on a regional project that will provide recommendations to the Victorian Agency for Health Information (VAHI) Board Reporting Advisory Group on the suite of quality and safety indicators/measures relevant to Local and Small Rural Health Services (SRHS) for use by Boards of Management.
The successful applicant will have:
- Management or Project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certificates) and a tertiary degree in management or information system related disciplines (or equivalent experience)
- Qualifications in business analysis tools and methodologies or similar
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Demonstrated effectiveness in a role which interacts with all levels of stakeholders
- Sound understanding of best-practice project, change and/or quality management, ideally in small and local health service environments
- Ability to understand health service operations, including funding policy, roles and strategic health planning

Selection Criteria |
Essential: Management or Project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certificates) Essential: Tertiary degree in management or information systems related discipline or equivalent experience Desirable: Qualifications in business analysis tools and methodology or similar Desirable: ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent Desirable: Healthcare industry experience Desirable: Substantial experience as a Project Manager with a capacity to work both autonomously and in a team environment Desirable: Program and portfolio management experience particularly managing inter-project dependencies and resource demands Desirable: Demonstrated effectiveness in a role which interacts with all levels of stakeholders Desirable: Knowledge or experience in structured project management methodologies eg. Prince2, PMBOK, LEAN etc. Desirable: Sound understanding of best-practice project, change and/or quality management, ideally in small and local health service environments Desirable: High level of effective communication skills (oral presentation, written, information presentation) Desirable: Ability to understand health service operations, including funding policy, roles and strategic health planning Desirable: Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems proactively identifying improvement opportunities to add value to business operations |
