Casual Registered Nurse - Haemodialysis

Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

The Haemodialysis Unit is a three bed unit catering to clients who need treatment for end stage renal failure. The Unit is a satellite unit for Barwon Health and currently operates 6 days per week, the staff within the unit operate autonomously.

What’s required? 

Essential:

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse Registration.
• Specific qualifications and experience relevant to Haemodialysis..
• Minimum of 3 years post registration experience.
• Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft office software.
• Ability to organise work in a systematic way, accurate and timely manner and be flexible in a changing environment.
• Professional, friendly and a team player disposition who is capable of representing the department and organisation effectively.
• Demonstrated skills in teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to manage emergency situations.
• IV cannulation.

Desirable

• Current competency in defibrillation or ALS equivalent.
• Tertiary qualifications or working toward same
