EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
Up to 76 hours per fortnight, 6 month Temporary Position.

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to join our busy Allied Health team.

 

The successful applicant will have;

  • Approved tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology
  • Accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia
  • Eligible for membership of Exercise & Sports Science Australia
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Police Check 
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Expressed interest or experience in working in a rural health care setting

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Victorian Police Check and complete a Statutory Declaration as per the Aged Care Principles prior to commencement of employment. Some positions will also require a WWC Check.

Selection Criteria Essential: Approved tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology
Essential: Accreditation and/or membership with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
Essential: Current Working with Children Check

Essential: Current Victorian Driver Licence.
Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential: High level computer skills and knowledge of various IT programs and systems
Essential: Experience or proven ability to effectively deliver safe and quality patient centred care in both group and individual care environments.
Essential: An understanding of factors affecting clients with both immediate (acute) and rehabilitation needs
Essential: A philosophy of care that promotes client independence with their health and lifestyle
Essential: Expressed interest or experience in working in a rural health care setting
