Registered Midwife - Casual Nurse Bank

An opportunity currently exists for Registered Midwives with current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registration (AHPRA) to join our Casual Nurse Bank. Applicants will need to have at least 1 year recent clinical experience in a Maternity Service and be able to demonstrate safe, effective and patient centred care.

 

Successful applicants will have:

  • dual registration with AHPRA (mandatory)
  • demonstrated capacity to work across the full role and scope of practice of a midwife
  • recent, contemporary and evidence based midwifery practice with ability to manage maternity emergencies
  • knowledge of contemporary rural practice
  • flexibility to work across a rotating roster with varying demands and responsibilities
  • ability to be organised and function effectively in a multidisciplinary team in a challenging environment
  • computer literacy
  • a professional friendly, team player disposition who is capable of representing the department and organisation effectively
