Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our busy Community Nursing team.

 

The successful applicants will have;

  • Registered Nurse Division 1 holding current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, with a minimum of 1 years post qualification clinical experience.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • High level interpersonal and professional organisational skills.
  • Competent computer literacy skills.
  • Developing high level of clinical competence; skill and knowledge.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge and understanding of government legislation, policies and procedures risk management and OH&S relative to Community Nursing within the Public sector.
  • Current Victorian’s Drivers Licence.
  • Current Police Check.
  • Working with Children’s Check

Selection Criteria Essential: AHPRA Registered Nurse Division 1 - a minimum of 1 year post qualification clinical experience with community nursing experience desirable. Able to demonstrate an ability to support collaborative working relationships with multidisciplinary team members across the continuum of care.
Essential: High level verbal and written communication skills; competent computer literacy skills.
Essential: Developing high level of clinical competence, skill and knowledge; able to work autonomously and also contribute clinically to the nursing team and assist with the orientation program for new staff and students.
Essential: High level interpersonal and professional organisational skills.
Essential: Be able to plan, implement, manage and evaluate care through a comprehensive assessment, care plan and discharge process within scope of practice. Demonstrates ability to contribute to the program and reporting requirements through accurate and timely data collection and data entry.
Essential: Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Essential: Be able to demonstrate a committment to accessing education, identifying service gaps, working within scope of practice and maintaining level of competency required to maintain professional registration.
